The “Three Good Things” gratitude process developed by Dr. Martin Seligman is an exercise that has been designed to try and improve an individual’s well-being and overall experience of positive emotions. The way that this exercise is done is by sitting down at the end of each day and write down “three good things”. What this means is that you reflect upon your day, and write down three positive things that you did or happened to you that day. After doing this process for one week, the participant will reflect on their experience and see if it had an impact on their personal well-being.
My overall experience with this exercise was very positive. I find this exercise to be very helpful, the reason being that I believe it shows you all of your positive thoughts each day and that it makes you think about how great our lives are.
